A traditional motto of motorcycle enthusiasts is “Live to Ride, Ride to Live.” Although that explains in a nutshell the draw and freedom found on two wheels, it is only a portion of the Victory Riders' mantra. The large part of the vision would be to fulfill the “Great Commission;” sharing the truth of God’s love through the sacrifice of Jesus. There is also the setting of people, belonging to a community of riders, that share intensely a common bond. It doesn’t take long in the biker community to know there is a great need for salvation, a host of hurting people, and the reality that the motorcycle is an incredible conversation starter. A stop at a traffic light brings a “nice bike” comment from an open window in the next lane. Topping off the tank at the local gas station draws someone that has to ask a question about the bike. At a rally with tens of thousands of bikes and thousands more bikers, exchanging ideas and resources, it gives opportunity for the Victory Rider to share a testimony. A great strength of the Victory Riders is the fellowship times they have together. "Ice Cream" Rides Named for such due to it's comprehensive covering of any ride that has a destination of food attached; and most do! The focus of both fellowship and inviting friends to come along for an early breakfast on the beach, a Saturday lunch in a small town setting, or a "favorites" restaurant one weekday evening is the main activity of the Victory Riders. Special Events Victory Riders take advantage of multiple rallies and sights around the state, and even around the nation, to spend an extended time doing what they love. Some examples are an occasional weekend retreat, a stay in the Keys for a few days, Daytona Bike Week and local charity rides. Ministry Opportunities The Victory Riders have been active over the years in prison ministries, supplying man power and donating money for serving the homeless, giving time to free bike washes and providing help with many endeavors. More than the opportunities that are planned for the group, the Riders also have a mindset to invite friends that need to make a connection with others and with the Father.
